Meet Carla Chatburn, a successful beauty therapist, owner of three award-winning salons with 25 professional industry awards to her name and the creator of The Confident Beauty Therapist Programme. But Carla wasn’t always the bold and confident woman behind all these titles. In fact, there was a time when she was a shy and introverted young girl who had no idea if she was good at anything, as she fell short of the conventional standards held by academic prowess.
When she was 14, Carla found herself working at a local salon and buying 99p fake nails from the supermarket to practice making her bitten-down nails look beautiful. By the time she was 21, Carla was already a business owner and had just started her first salon with no previous education or experience in the business world. What follows is a tale of many powerful and empowering lessons, but ultimately it is a story of a woman persevering against all odds and pulling herself back on track each time she ventured away from her ambitions.
